Nordic Market - Securing profits

Prices rose at the opening, but a wetter forecast pushed most of the contracts below yesterday’s settlement.
Q4-06 opened at EUR 57.00/MWh, but has eased off to EUR 56.35. One trader says there is a tendency of profit taking in the market. “Prices have showed steady gains lately, and when prognoses indicate a wetter ending, players feel it is time to secure some profit,” he assumes. Other factors are still bullish however, he adds, with strong prices for oil, carbon and German power.
