Nordic Market - Same territory

Forward prices are staying in familiar territory this morning, trading slightly up from yesterday’s close. Spot prices may drop a few NOK for tomorrow due to lower consumption.
The fundamental picture has not changed much from yesterday, and the forwards are trading more or less in the same territory as earlier in the week. Liquidity is also very low this morning, with a turnover of only 0.5 TWh at Nord Pool so far.– Forecasts are slightly drier today, but there are not any strong news in the market. Prices are moving to and fro, a Norwegian trader said.

The Friday market opened up, but has sagged downwards before noon. Forward prices have closed lower day-by-day this week, and a retest of the 260 level on the V1-05 contract is likely soon, according to a Swedish trader.

Forward prices have turned north again this morning. But the V1-05 contract is unlikely to break through the 275 NOK/MWh resistance area before the system price is lifted well above 240, according to market players.
