Nordic Market - Relentless

Wetter weather forecasts for next week gave some initial doubts this morning, but the market was soon back on the bull track.
The Q3-08 contract is up 45 cents at EUR 53.45/MWh while the front year contract is up 55 cents at EUR 60.20/MWh."The picture remains strong. The weather forecasts are wetter, but the Q3 contract has gained a lot lately and is technically strong. As long as we don't see a fall in German power, oil and coal there is still a risk of higher prices," said portfolio manager Willy Sægrov

Prices are rocketing Monday morning on the back of a system price far above expectations and dry forecasts. The front end of the curve has been lifted around four euros from Friday's close, reaching a new record level.
