The market opened down this morning on wet forecasts. Throughout the morning trading session, prices have continued south. The bellwether V2-05 traded last at 276 NOK/MWh, down 4.75 from Friday.
“Fuel-and carbon prices are strong, and strengthening, so it must be the wetter and milder weather forecasts that push prices down today,” says a Norwegian analyst. He argues that the snow melting has been delayed due to the cold weather but as soon as it starts, prices should come down.“It seems that the weather will be continuously wet and also become milder.
