Nordic power forwards are rising on Wednesday morning, but the Q2 contract is looking expensive given the strong hydrological situation and current spot price levels, market players said.
The Q2 contract was last seen at EUR 34.60/MWh on Nasdaq OMX, up 30 cents day on day, having recovered from an intraday low of EUR 33.80/MWh.
The rise was partly a reaction to the strong fall seen on Tuesday, market players said, when the contract dropped EUR 1.55 on the back of lower German power and CO2 prices as well as slightly wetter forecasts.
