A rainy weekend and wet forecasts put pressure on the Nordic power prices today. The system price for today was somewhat higher than estimated on Friday, but is expected to weaken during the week.
Today’s system price is 230.85 NOK/MWh, compared to 216.75 last Monday, and one explanation is that the precipitation came a bit later than forecasted. For tomorrow, players estimate the system price to ease off by 2-5 NOK, mainly due to higher inflow. According to Storm, 1.6 TWh of precipitation was delivered during the last 24 hours, mainly in South-Eastern parts of Norway, plus Sweden.
