Nordic forward prices are rising strongly on Monday morning on the back of cold weather forecasts and strong CO2 and fuel prices, traders said.
The Q3 contract last traded at EUR 50.60/MWh at Nord Pool, up EUR 1.65 from Friday, while the 2011 contract last traded at EUR 48.75/MWh, up EUR 1.30. "The prices are rising significantly this morning. The spot price was stronger than expected and the weather forecasts are predicting about normal amounts of precipitation compared to wetter than normal before the weekend,” said Kristian
