Nordic power prices have come off Tuesday morning, continuing the tendency from Monday afternoon. Forecasts are wetter, and German power prices as well as CO2 prices have also softened this morning.
Bjørn Steffensen at Kraftinor says there are two main elements affecting the prices at the moment; CO2 and the hydrological balance. “Carbon prices are still at a high level, although they are easing off slightly. The general opinion seems to be that CO2 is priced too high right now. Regarding the hydrological balance, it has improved, but this is not reflected in the market prices,”
