Nordic power prices opened higher day on day on Wednesday on stronger oil prices but are also reacting to drier forecasts towards the end of the 10-day period, players said.
The Q3 11 contract was last seen at EUR 57.00/MWh, up 75 cents day on day, while the front year was up 45 cents at EUR 52.45/MWh. "The main reason for the strong opening on the front year today was a USD 2-3/bbl increase in oil prices compared to where it was when the power market closed yesterday.
