Nordic forward prices are strengthening on Friday morning on the back of a colder long-term weather forecast and closing of market positions, a trader said.
The Q2 contract last traded at EUR 41.90/MWh at Nord Pool, up EUR 0.80 from Thursday, while the April contract last traded at EUR 43.90/MWh, up EUR 0.80. "I think the main reason is the long-term weather forecast which turned out a bit colder than last week. It seems that we will get an extra week with slightly colder weather than normal," said Kjell Arne Bjerkvik, trader at Norwegian utility Tuss
