Nordic power prices are rising again on Wednesday due to prevailing cold weather forecasts and a delay to the restart of the Ringhals 2 nuclear reactor in Sweden, players said.
The Q2 10 contract was last seen at EUR 44.20/MWh, up 53 cents day on day. "The weather forecasts are keeping prices up and the market is also reacting to a market message from Ringhals. Those factors are pushing up the front end of the curve,” said Svenn Rognås, trader at Norwegian producer BKK.
