Nordic forward prices are firming on Wednesday morning due to forecasts of even colder and drier weather, traders said.
The Q1 10 contract was last seen traded at EUR 40.75/MWh, up 75 cents day on day, while the YR 10 contract was up 60 cents at EUR 39.50/MWh. "Such unusually cold and dry weather is driving both the short and long end of the curve. Other parameters such as coal, oil and gas seem stable,” said Kjell Arne Berkvik, trader at Tussa Kraft.
