Nordic power contracts are gaining on Thursday morning, on a combination of rising fuel prices and a stronger German market.
The Q2 11 contract was last seen at EUR 50.80/MWh, up 35 cents, whilst the front month was 25 cents stronger at EUR 58.40/MWh. The market opened down following the EC ENS 00 forecast, which despite being less wet and colder than the previous forecast, shows some 3.1 TWh more precipitation than normal over the next 10 days.
