A two-day price fall has come to an end in the Nordic power market on Wednesday, with prices moving up on the back of firmer oil, coal and CO2 prices, players said.
The bellwether Q3 09 contract was last seen at EUR 34.90/MWh, up 50 cents day on day, while the front year contract has gained 60 cents to EUR 37.25/MWh.
"Oil is now above USD 50/bbl again, which is a psychologically important level. CO2 and coal are also up, and together these factors are lifting prices today,” said Preben Olsen, trader at Norwegian power producer BKK.&nb
