Nordic forward prices are moving sideways on Wednesday morning, as players are cautious to push prices further down as long as the weather forecasts remain cold, traders said.
The Q2 10 contract was last seen trading at EUR 44.70/MWh, up 20 cents day on day. The contract traded at EUR 45.25/MWh earlier. "It is still dry and relatively cold in the forecasts and we will not see an improvement in the weak hydropower balance. Since we are also around the German peak price level, it is natural that the prices have adjusted slightly up," said a Norwegian trader.
