Nordic forwards are rising sharply on Monday morning as the weather forecasts remain dry and cold, players said.
The February contract was last traded at EUR 51.50/MWh, up EUR 1.92 from Friday's close, while the Q2 10 contract was last seen at EUR 46.85/MWh, up EUR 2.00. ”Prices are rising due to the weather. Temperatures are staying below normal and it's still dry,” said Mattias Hellberg, trader at Stockholm-based Shepherd Energy.
