Nordic power prices are falling on Friday morning, with market players pointing at a weaker fuel complex amid the failed rescue package for the US car industry.
The front quarter opened at EUR 45.45/MWh and was last seen at EUR 44.70/MWh, down 75 cents from Thursday.
"After a quick increase in oil and coal prices yesterday, they are now retreating. The year ahead contract on the German market also dropped from EUR 60 to 58/MWh. Combined, this gives a sideways signal for Nordic power,” said Rolf Helge Sørensen, trader at Norw
