Nordic power prices are falling on Tuesday morning due to a combination of wet weather forecasts and a softer German power market, traders said.
The benchmark Q3 11 contract was last seen trading at EUR 53.30/MWh, down 80 cents from Monday, having fallen from an early high of EUR 54.15/MWh. ”Prices opened up on slightly drier forecasts, but then came down when the operational EC 00 forecast was wetter, and also because of falling German power prices,” said Filip Lindberg, trader at Swedish utility Mälarenergi.
