Nordic forwards are falling across the board on Monday morning, with the Q1 10 contract losing more than EUR 1, on the back of wet and mild forecasts, traders said.
The Q1 10 contract was last seen at EUR 37.70/MWh, down EUR 1.02 on Friday's settlement, while the front year was quoted at EUR 36.40/MWh, down EUR 0.75. "There are quite many signals pointing downwards, including wetter and milder weather forecasts, falling German power prices, and a weaker than expected spot price,” said trader Henning Nymann from Norwegian utility Trønderenergi.
