Nordic forward prices are falling on Tuesday morning due to milder weather and the restart of Sweden's Ringhals 1 nuclear reactor, traders said.
The Q2 contract last traded at EUR 47/MWh on Nord Pool, down EUR 2.05 from Monday. "The return of Ringhals 1 (855 MW) was a total surprise. The forecasts are also indicating milder weather, and with the [dock workers'] strike in Finland, we will not see a rise in the spot price," said Arne Österlind, trader at Swedish company Shepherd Energy.
