Nordic Market - Prices fall despite cold weather

Nordic forward prices are falling back after opening up on Wednesday morning on the back of cold and dry weather forecasts and strong fuels, and trading was very volatile, players said.
The Q2 contract last traded at EUR 49.30/MWh at Nord Pool, down EUR 1.05 from Tuesday. Further out the YR 2011 contract was down 50 cents at EUR 42.35/MWh. "The market opened up and my analysis was that it would continue up on strong coal, gas and oil as well as cold and dry weather forecasts,” said Stefan Berglind, trader at Swedish utility Dala Kraft, adding that prices could have ris
