Increasing snowmelt is putting downward pressure on the front end of the Nordic power curve on Monday morning, while weak oil amid fears of a swine flu pandemic gives a downward signal further out, players said.
The Monday system price of EUR 33.29/MWh was slightly lower than expected, and with temperatures forecast 4-5 degrees above normal later this week, there could be lower prices soon, said one analyst.
