Nordic forwards are surging on Friday morning on the back of drier weather forecasts and strong fuels, traders said.
The Q3 10 contract had risen by EUR 1 day on day at EUR 48.70/MWh, while the YR 11 contract was last seen at EUR 0.40 at 46.95/MWh. The former had risen by EUR 5 in two weeks, trading at year-highs. Drier and colder weather forecasts had triggered an initial rise on the market, while a bullish fuel complex offered further support, a UK-based trader said.
