Prices are rising in the Nordic power market on Wednesday due to a colder and drier weather forecast, players said.
The most liquid contract, Q1 11, opened at EUR 50/MWh and was last seen at EUR 50.45/MWh, up 75 cents on the previous day. The main reason for the price rise was a change to drier and colder forecasts in the Nordic region, as well as stronger German power prices, said one trader.
