Nordic Market - Pressure on the spot

Due to heavy rain the last 24 hours players are expecting the spot price to drop for Thursday. However, forward prices are rising on the back of drier forecasts for next week.
– There have been a great deal of down regulations tonight and the producers are clearly not in control at the moment. Although wind power output will be lower tomorrow, the spot price should drop, a Norwegian analyst said.He believes in a system price around 219-220 NOK/MWh for tomorrow, while the day-ahead contract at Nord Pool has been traded at 217.
