Nordic Market - Players fear high peak hour prices

Cold weather, the delayed return of nuclear power production and low wind power generation could lead to high peak hour prices Tuesday, players said.
"The Swedish export reduction is a warning that we could see high prices Tuesday. There is not much capacity available, but the export reduction could limit the price spikes,” said a Norwegian analyst. Swedish TSO Svenska Kraftnät has stopped exports on all interconnectors in the south of the country for 10 hours on Tuesday in order to maintain power system security, it said in an UMM.&
