Nordic power prices are firming on Friday morning as a result of optimistic sentiment in fuel and financial markets, as well as stronger continental power, traders said.
The Q3 10 contract had gained EUR 0.55 day on day and last traded at EUR 49.20/MWh, while the YR 11 contract had risen by EUR 0.70 to EUR 47.35/MWh. "There's a positive mood for crude oil, gas, equities and German power. Together with a strong system price for Friday, this supports Nord Pool prices,” said Stein Erik Iversen from Norwegian utility BKK.
