The Nordic power market traded sharply down in the morning hours, but has later returned back towards yesterday’s closing levels. Players point at profit taking as the most plausible explanation for the fall that started at noon yesterday, and don’t rule out more bullish movements ahead.
“There is no good fundamental reason for the recent fall. Many players have long positions, and are selling when they see that the market is going down. But compared to the strong up trend, the current movements are only a ripple in the ocean,” trader Jan Strömberggsson at Skellefteå Kraft said when prices were at their lowest earlier today.Similarly, a Norwegian trader said
