Nordic Market - Nuclear delay adds potential upside to spot

Nordic power prices are trading flat due to little new input on Wednesday, but another delay to the restart of the 473 MW Oskarshamn 1 nuclear reactor has sent a bullish signal to spot prices.
The Wednesday system price of EUR 44.93/MWh was lower than expected, but for Thursday the price will probably be slightly higher as a result of another delay to the restart of the Oskarshamn 1 reactor, said Mattias Hellberg, trader at Shepherd Energy in Sweden. The reactor, which was scheduled for a restart on Wednesday, will not be brought back into operation until next week at the earliest
