Prices at Nord Pool opened up strongly this morning on dry weather forecasts and high CO2 prices. However, a wetter EC made prices soften again after a few hours of trading.
“The late EC came in about 2TWh wetter than this morning which probably contributed to pushing prices down again. Another reason could be that many players find it hard to break the resistance level of 306-307 NOK/MWh for the V2-05 and the 36 EUR/MWh for the Year’06 contract. What happens next is hard to predict but the trend is definitely north,” says a Swedish trader.
