Nordic Market - Nervous pricing

The benchmark SO-05 contract opened up 1.25 NOK this morning and has during the morning hours traded around 176-177 NOK/MWh. “A certain nervousness for a higher system price next week keep holding the market on higher levels”, says a Norwegian trader.
Little new fundamental information has been presented today; the forecasts still show cold and dry weather, with the exception for the weekend. “Nervousness for next week’s weather forecasts and a higher spot equals rather low activity,” the trader says, adding that the summer contract is somewhat overpriced at this point.Volatile summer̶

Bullish weather forecasts and the highest system price since September keep the prices up this morning. Activity, however, is low at Nord Pool. The spot is predicted to fall with at least 45 NOK due to less peak hour pricing and an early "Friday effect”.
