Nordic power prices are rising in line with stronger German power and CO2 prices on Friday, but the upside is limited by a healthy hydrological surplus, market participants said.
"We saw a strong close on the stock markets yesterday, which spilled over into the oil market and also caused German power to rise after the Nordic market was closed. That is the main reason why prices are coming up,” said Haakon Knudstad, trader at Norwegian generator BKK.
The Q3 12 contract was last seen at EUR 31.60/MWh, up 35 cents day on day, while Year 2013 was up 35
