Nordic forwards are edging sideways on Friday morning, with the front curve remaining in the upper end of the current price range amid thin liquidity, traders said.
The Q2 11 contract had lost EUR 0.05 at EUR 56.10/MWh, following an earlier high of EUR 56.25/MWh. Meanwhile, the March contract had risen EUR 0.20 at EUR 65.75/MWh. "The weather outlook is slightly drier and colder, but German power and the cost of coal-fired production is falling, and the market doesn't know which way to go,” a Danish trader said.
