A mild weather outlook and healthy hydropower supplies are pushing the Nordic front quarters to record lows on Wednesday morning, although trade is thin.
The Q2 12 contract had lost EUR 0.08 at EUR 28.05/MWh, having equalled Tuesday's all-time low of EUR 28.00/MWh earlier in the session, while the Q3 12 hit a record low of EUR 31.20/MWh. "Spring is coming fast, temperatures are rising, and there is lots of snow in the Norwegian mountains. The spring thaw looks set to arrive earlier than usual,” a Finnish trader said.
