Nordic forward prices are trading softer on Thursday morning, as mild and wet forecasts offset firmer fuel prices.
The Q1 12 contract last traded at EUR 45.40/MWh at Nasdaq OMX, down EUR 0.40 from Wednesday's close. Meanwhile the week 44 was last seen down EUR 0.40 at EUR 38/MWh. The front end of the curve is mainly coming down due to the mild and wet weather forecasts, while firmer fuel and carbon markets are providing some support for the contracts further out, said one Finnish trader.
