The Nordic power curve is continuing to rise on Friday morning as players go long before the weekend amid sustained dry and cold weather forecasts, players said.
"It is dry and cold. New monthly weather forecasts came in today and showed no change. It is therefore understandable that the market is rising and that the March contract is coming close to the spot price level,” said a Norwegian trader.
The March contract is up EUR 2.40 at EUR 58.00/MWh on Friday and has risen EUR 7.50 since Tuesday. Q2 10 is up EUR 1.20 at EUR 48.80/MWh.
