Nordic forwards are displaying a mixed picture on Monday morning, with drier weather resulting in a strengthening front quarter and the front year sliding on the back of oil, traders said.
The benchmark front quarter contract was last seen at EUR 36.80/MWh, up EUR 0.45 on the previous settlement, while the front year had lost EUR 0.25 at EUR 39.90/MWh.
Significantly drier forecasts combined with a strong system price had pulled up the front end, though the Q3 contract was still overvalued, according to a Finnish trader.
