Nordic Market - Forwards continue south

Nordic forwards continue to follow weaker fuel markets south Friday morning. One trader warned that prices may have dropped too far.

The Q1-09 contract was last seen at EUR 42.85/MWh (-0.65) while Year 09 was trading at EUR 39.00/MWh (-0.60). "Prices continue down on weaker oil and coal prices. Some industrial buyers have come in at these levels, but traders continue to sell the market down and there appear to be few players out there with long positions,” one Norwegian trader said.
