Nordic Market – Falling further

The forward market at Nord Pool is easing off further Thursday morning. Q2-07 is down almost a euro, last seen at EUR 27.00/MWh.
“The market is falling mainly due to somewhat milder and wetter forecasts. However, the price movement is quite large compared to the change in the input,” says Per Arne Austli at Trønder Energi. He points to the fact that Q2-07 is almost down at the price level from before the weekend, when forecasts were wet and mild, and before the outages at the nuclear power plants.

Confirmed dry and cold outlooks are pushing prices further up Tuesday morning, and the nuclear outages are making the situation even more tense. Q2-07 has broken out of the range, and was last traded at EUR 29.35.

The forward market at Nord Pool is easing off further Thursday morning. Q2-07 is down almost a euro, last seen at EUR 27.00/MWh.
