Nordic forward prices are strengthening on Wednesday morning on the back of colder and drier weather forecasts, traders said.
The Q1 11 contract last traded at EUR 50.50/MWh at Nord Pool, up EUR 34 cents from Tuesday, while the 2011 contract last traded at 45.20/MWh, up 20 cents. "The market opened slightly weaker, influenced by the fall yesterday, but then oil and German power prices are gaining this morning and the weather forecasts have been cold and dry,” said Atle Sørsdal, trader at Norwegian utility Hafs
