Prices at Nord Pool have jumped Monday morning. Traders say several factors contribute to the rising prices, but that the high system price and continuous dry outlooks are the main drivers.
The system price ended well above the estimates made on Friday, with a EUR 8.60 jump to EUR 47.78/MWh. One of the elements that pushed spot prices up was a reduction in import capacity to Finland from Russia from 1300 MW to 400 MW Sunday night. The capacity will be reduced until 5 July.
