Drier weather forecasts and a prolonged outage of the Ringhals 2 (865 MW) nuclear reactor are lifting the front end contracts in the Nordic market on Friday morning.
The July contract last traded at EUR 22.85/MWh on Nasdaq OMX, up EUR 0.50, while the Q3 12 contract last changed hands at EUR 26.50/MWh, up EUR 0.25.
"The volumes are very thin due to the holiday in Sweden and Finland, but the front is rising on a drier EC 00 weather forecast. Besides that, most signals are very bearish,” Rune Jørgensen, trader at Norwegian utility Helgelandsk
