Nordic power forwards are edging up on Thursday morning, contrary to the bearish hydrological situation and triggered by short-covering, traders said.
The Q2 12 contract had gained EUR 0.36 day on day at EUR 27.90/MWh, while the Q3 12 contract had risen by EUR 0.45 to EUR 30.70/MWh. "All factors are pointing downwards, and players talk about how low prices can go, which [paradoxically] makes it good to do the very opposite, and start buying,” a Danish trader said.
