A wetter end to the 10-day weather forecast is pushing down the front end of the Nordic power curve on Thursday, while contracts further out are subdued amid a bleak macroeconomic outlook.
The bellwether Q3 12 contract was last seen at an eight-day low of EUR 29.15/MWh, down 60 cents day on day. "The market reacted to the EC 12 operational forecast on Wednesday evening, which had a very wet end that suggested a change from the current high pressure,” said Haakon Knudstad, trader at Norwegian power producer BKK.
