Nordic Market - Curve falls as players eye low spot price

Nordic forward prices are falling on Thursday morning amid expectations of considerably lower spot prices in the coming weeks.
The Q3 12 contract last traded at EUR 31.45/MWh at Nasdaq OMX, down EUR 0.40 from Wednesday. Further out, the Year 13 contract was last seen EUR 0.13 softer at EUR 38.82/MWh. Prices are falling amid forecasts of mild weather next week and the strong hydrological balance, said Per Arne Austli of Trønderenergi, adding that expectations of lower spot prices in May are pulling the curve down.
