Nordic power contracts are softening in thin trade on Friday, with a wetter than normal weather forecast weighing on the front, traders said.
The April contract was last seen 85 cents down at EUR 69.50/MWh, whilst the Q2 contract was down 47 cents at EUR 61.30/MWh. According to the latest weather forecasts there will be an increase in precipitation and temperatures will rise slightly over the next couple of weeks. "If the forecast rain delivers it will diminish the risk of rationing,” one Norwegian trader said.
