Nordic Market - Continuing down

Falling fuel prices and mild weather forecasts are pushing down Nordic forward prices Wednesday morning.
Prices are sliding on the entire curve, with the front quarter last seen at EUR 48.45/MWh at Nord Pool, down 50 cents from yesterday's close. YR-09 has shed 66 cents and was last traded at EUR 52.80."The main issue is the dropping fuel prices, with oil prices decreasing quite a lot and CO2 allowances also softening. Every signal on that side is pointing down," said a Finnish player.

Encouraged by slightly drier and colder weather forecasts, buyers reappeared in the Nordic power market this morning. But the market soon dropped down again.
