Nordic forward prices are falling on Wednesday, as players said they are more concerned with falling consumption and lower CO2 prices than an increasing hydrological deficit.
The Q2 09 contract last traded at EUR 35.50/MWh on Nord Pool, down 15 cents from Tuesday.
"Oil is quite weak, CO2 is falling and German power is coming down as well,” said Henning Nymann, trader at Norwegian utility TrønderEnergi.
