A change to wetter weather forecasts is coinciding with a slight recovery in fuel markets on Friday, leaving Nordic power traders with conflicting signals on which direction to take next.
The Q4 10 contract was last seen at EUR 47.65/MWh at Nord Pool, up 5 euro cents from Thursday, while Year 2011 was up 25 cents at EUR 43.25/MWh. "We are kind of squeezed between wetter forecasts and a slight recovery in fuels,” said André Hellström, trader at Swedish supplier Bixia.
