Cold and dry weather forecasts are lifting the front end of the Nordic power curve on Monday, and the fear of very high spot prices later in the winter has returned, players said.
The front month contract was up EUR 1.70 at EUR 71.00/MWh at Nasdaq OMX, while the benchmark Q2 11 contract was up EUR 0.95 at EUR 58.25/MWh, after hitting EUR 59.00/MWh earlier.
